Welcome to visit the closing party of the Humanoids!
The Critical Gallery located in the Art House will serve as the base for the humanoids from 8.8. to 21.9., when the latest work, Humanoid Space, by the Helsinki-based performance art collective Toisinen tilat, has taken over the gallery space. The Humanoid Space is a shape-shifting installation where artists transformed into extraterrestrial beings – humanoids – visit and make observations of the surrounding space and human habits. During the exhibition period, the space will gradually transform from a human home to a cozy and pleasant space for the humanoids.
On 21.9. in Turku Day, the Critical Gallery will host a closing party, when the humanoids will spend their last day in the gallery. Come visit the humanoids’ home and get to see what kind of space the humanoids have created. You will get to try out the simple and playful humanoid exercise developed by the collective and look at your environment from a new perspective, that of an extraterrestrial visitor.
The artists from the working group will be present at the exhibition and will guide you into the world of humanoids. You will also have the opportunity to choose some works, costumes, textiles or objects from the humanoid home while supplies last.
