The Critical Gallery will be hosting two impressive exhibitions of Scottish media art in different venues:
RHYS HOLLIS, ANDREA BAKER, DIVINE TASINDA, KHEANNA WALKER: OMOS
Critical Gallery, open on Arts Night from 12 am to 10 pm.
OMOS, a project combining moving image and performance, is a tribute to the black people who took part in performances at the 16th century royal court. The project also celebrates black performance art today.
DAVIDE BUGARIN, ADAM CASTLE: SORE THROAT
Wiklund Centre pop-up space, Kauppiaskatu 9, Turku (-1 floor, next to Alko), open on Arts Night from 12 am to 8 pm.
Sore Throat is a film that explores the impact of through-the-wall sounds on queer people and queer spaces in the Philippines, where the interpretation of sounds is influenced by monster mythology and the distortions caused by colonisation and gentrification.
